Plotter or Pantser, every story has a structure. The simplest and most powerful is the Three-Act Structure. ACT I: The Setup. We meet the protagonist in their normal world. The Inciting Incident occurs, disrupting that world and launching them on a new path. It ends with them crossing a point of no return. ACT II: The Confrontation. The messy middle! The protagonist faces rising stakes, tries and fails, learns new skills, and barrels toward a Midpoint (often a false victory or major defeat). ACT III: The Resolution. The final showdown. The protagonist uses everything they've learned to face the final conflict in the Climax .
